In anticipation of the arrival of Winter Storm Gianna this evening, Mayor Jean Toner issued a State of Emergency Proclamation at 1:45 pm on Saturday, January 31st. This proclamation not only activates the Town's Emergency Operations Center (EOC) but also makes any expenses incurred by the town eligible for federal funds that may become available responding to this storm if President Donald Trump were to issue a federal declaration for NC.

 The Town's EOC will become operational at 6 pm today.
